CGI (NYSE: GIB) has received a potential $824 million task order contract to provide cloud hosting, operations, maintenance and reporting services under the U.S. Agriculture Department‘s financial management shared services program.
The awarding of the contract comes after the General Services Administration and the Office of Management and Budgetapproved USDA as a shared services provider of the CGI-made Momentum Enterprise Solution software to federal agencies.
CGI and USDA will work to help customer agencies manage their budget, financial and procurement functions with the Momentum financial management platform, the company said Tuesday.
“We look forward to partnering with USDA on this transformational work as the U.S. federal government continues its move to cloud-based shared services, ” said Stephanie Mango, a senior vice president at CGI.
The contract carries a two-month base value of $3.3 million and work could extend through July 31, 2026 if all options are exercised.
USDA’s shared services program currently supports more than 85 government agencies, CGI said.
