The U.S. Air Force has awarded seven companies spots on a potential $5.4 billion contract to provide combat air forces with close air support services to help counter adversary threats.
The Department of Defense said Monday the Air Combat Command Acquisition Management and Integration Center received 11 offers for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Work will occur throughout and outside the contiguous U.S. through Oct. 13, 2029.
