Air Force Notifies Industry of $255M F-16 International Support IDIQ Opportunity

The U.S. Air Force has informed the business sector about an upcoming $255 million multiple-award contract opportunity to maintain F-16 Fighting Falcon jets for international defense customers.

The F-16 International Aircraft Maintenance and Pilot Differences Training program will have a 10-year life cycle period and includes support for countries that will procure Block 70/72 configuration units, USAF said in a presolicitation notice posted Thursday.

A selected contractor will train pilots for the legacy and modernized variants of the fighter aircraft.

Services will take place in contractor and government-provided facilities within the continental U.S., as well as overseas locations and online platforms.

USAF expects to release the final solicitation notice in mid-November and set Dec. 15 as the tentative deadline for bid submissions.
