The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is seeking industry partners to provide dredging and construction services within the boundaries of USACE Great Lakes districts.
The engineering branch of the Army intends to award firm-fixed-price task orders under the Great Lakes Dredging contract vehicle, which is estimated to be valued at up to $180 million in total, according to a pre-solicitation posted on SAM.gov. The anticipated period of performance is five years.
Services USACE Needs
USACE requires upstream and downstream dredging services at project locations. Selected contractors will also be in charge of placing dredged materials at shorelines for beach nourishment, at Dredged Materials Disposal Facilities and anywhere indicated in the task orders.
Work will be performed at USACE Great Lakes districts, including Buffalo, New York; Chicago, Illinois; and Detroit, Michigan.
The government will issue an official proposal solicitation in September, with submissions due by October.
USACE will host a virtual pre-proposal conference at an unspecified date during the solicitation period to discuss its requirements.
