Thomson Reuters has secured a multiyear contract from the Administration Office of the U.S. Courts to provide federal judiciary professionals access to company-built legal research tools.
The information services provider said Tuesday it will help AO roll out Westlaw Edge platform during the first quarter of 2020 across the federal court system.
Westlaw Edge uses artificial intelligence and analytics technology designed to help lawyers search content faster.
Steve Rubley, president of Thomson Reuters’ government segment and a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, said the platform is equipped with the Quick Check and Litigation Analytics tools that work to increase efficiency and accuracy of legal research.
AO professionals will also have access to the company’s Practical Law service and Drafting Assistant suite as part of the contract.
The Department of Justice awarded Thomson Reuters a separate contract in October to help DOJ components implement research and investigation tools.
