She will assume her new post on April 1 and succeed Michael D’Ambrose, who is retiring in July after four decades of industry career, Boeing said Thursday.
Amuluru will report to David Calhoun, president and CEO of Boeing, and oversee the company’s global talent acquisition, compensation and benefits and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
“Her deep knowledge of our company and its people, including through her work as Boeing’s first chief compliance officer, makes Uma ideally suited to lead our efforts to support and develop our global workforce as we focus on Boeing’s path forward,” Calhoun said.
Amuluru joined Boeing in August 2017 as a senior counsel and was appointed the chief compliance officer and VP of global compliance in May 2020.
She is a former assistant U.S. attorney who served as counselor to the U.S. Attorney General at the Department of Justice and and associate White House counsel to former President Barack Obama.
D’Ambrose has served as executive VP of HR at Boeing since July 2020. He joined the defense contractor from agricultural trading company Archer Daniels Midland where he was senior VP and CHRO.
