Ultra Electronics™ Ocean Systems business has won a potential $100.9M contract to design, develop, test and integrate a radar software management platform intended for the U.S. Navy’s new and in-service submarines.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base value of $45.2M and includes options that would extend the performance period through May 2026, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Work will involve technology installation, refurbishment and support work on software management tools for AN/BPS submarine navigation radars.
Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $1.7M at the time of award.
Fifty percent of contract work will occur in Chantilly, Va., and the remaining 50 percent will take place in Wake Forest, N.C.
The Navy™s AN/BPS radars are equipped with radio frequency generation, video signal processing, transmission, reception and other interface features that support navigation and routine surface detection.
