The U.S. Navy has awarded defense systems manufacturer Ultra Electronics a potential 10-year, $145.4M contract to provide technology to support command, control, communications, computers and intelligence operations for amphibious platforms.
Ultra will deliver an Amphibious Tactical Communications System, which is meant to handle voice, video, and data for terrestrial, ship-to-shore and ship-to-ship transmission as part of the award, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The contract, which has a three-year base period and a seven-year option that would extend its performance period through July 2030.
ATCS features Ultra’s Orion X500 radio technology that works to support amphibious C4ISR functions for line-of-sight shipboard components.
Naval Information Warfare Systems Command will obligate $26.8M in spectrum relocation funds at the time of award.
