UltiSat, which operates as Speedcast International’s government arm, has restructured four primary lines of business and made senior executive appointments as the Gaithersburg, Maryland-based communications services provider looks to address evolving customer missions.
UltiSat said Monday David Bryant, executive vice president of programs, will elevate to the chief operating officer position as part of the reorganization.
The restructuring efforts come as President David Myers succeeds former CEO Moe Abutaleb, who will stay at the company as a member of its board of directors.
“As we enter the new year, UltiSat is making a number of development investments to better serve the evolving needs of our customers,” Myers said.
“We are expanding our in-house capabilities and recruiting new members to the team who will bring new perspective and industry best practices.”
George Sumarev, Garr Stephenson, Chris Hetmanski and Anthony Sellers will respectively serve as executive vice presidents and general managers for the company’s four units: engineering and technical; airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; managed network; and specialized wireless services.
