The enterprise IT, cybersecurity and professional services provider said Wednesday Ferrando was unanimously appointed by its board of directors. The executive will oversee the Frederick, Maryland-based company’s strategic growth into new markets and maintain relations with existing customers. He currently serves on Edgewater’s board of directors as executive chairman.

The technology professional is also a member of the advisory board for Nakupuna Companies and Seton Hall University’s Buccino Center Leadership Council. In addition, Ferrando serves on the board of directors for CherryRoad Technologies, GovCIO and PM Consulting Group.
Prior to joining Edgewater, Ferrando served as CEO of SalientCRGT until it was acquired by GovCIO. During his stay at SalientCRGT, he helped the company grow into a 2,500-person organization with a strong presence in the federal and defense sectors. The Edgewater executive also served as president and CEO of CRGT for seven years after also working as president at CherryRoad.
