Todd Wright, formerly executive vice president for operations at AECOM™s (NYSE: ACM) nuclear and environment strategic business unit, has been named general manager and EVP of the business unit.
Wright will be in charge of the unit™s business development, strategic programs and daily operations, AECOM said Wednesday.
The 35-year nuclear industry veteran held leadership positions at the Energy Department and the U.K. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
Wright is a former director at DoE™s Savannah River National Laboratory, where he led the construction of a hydrogen research center and formation of strategic partnerships with research institutions, FBI and other federal agencies.
He also served as managing director at Sellafield Ltd. - a nuclear decommissioning site controlled by NDA – and helped manage radioactive waste processing and retrieval operations as well as construction projects in support of nuclear decommissioning work.
