Textron Unit Secures $95M USAF T-6 Aircraft Sustainment Contract

Textron‘s (NYSE: TXT) aviation defense unit will help the U.S. Air Force maintain T-6 training aircraft under a sole-source indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract worth potentially $95.1 million over five years.

Contract work covers sustaining engineering and program management support for the platform used to train military pilots, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The company will perform work in Wichita, Kansas, through April 12, 2026.

The AF Life Cycle Management Center in Oklahoma is obligating $1.6 million at the time of award using the branch’s fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance funds.
