A Textron (NYSE: TXT) subsidiary has received a $97.1 million contract modification to retrofit the U.S. Army‘s Shadow unmanned aircraft system data link.
Textron’s AAI Corp. will perform work in Hunt Valley, Maryland, through Oct. 31, 2018, as part of the full-rate production of the UAS’ seventh lot, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
The Army designates the UAS as the RQ-7B for use in reconnaissance, surveillance, targeting and assessment operations.
