HawkEye 360, a Herndon, Va.-based radio frequency data analytics company, has appointed Terry McAuliffe, former governor of Virginia, and Chris Inglis, former deputy director of the National Security Agency, to the board of advisers.
“Both Terry and Chris have distinguished backgrounds that will help guide HawkEye 360 towards our goal of becoming a world leader in spectrum-based geoanalytics, serving the needs of commercial, government and international customers,” HawkEye 360 CEO John Serafini said in a statement published Friday.
McAuliffe served as Virginia’s 72nd governor and chairman of the National Governors Association. He helped establish a cybersecurity commission to ensure the security of citizen data and consumer transactions and implemented economic development programs during his time as governor.
Inglis is a managing director at Paladin Capital and a distinguished visiting professor for cybersecurity studies at the U.S. Naval Academy. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran who spent 28 years at the NSA, where he started his career as a computer scientist within the national computer security center. He retired in 2014 from the Department of Defense after over four decades of federal service.
