Southwest Research Institute will help the U.S. Air Force study the degradation process for aircraft structures under a potential six-year, $99 million contract.
USAF received three offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, is obligating $200,000 on the initial task order and expects the project to conclude by March 29, 2027.
Work will take place at SwRI’s facility in San Antonio and at the USAF Academy in Colorado.
