STS International has won a task order to help the Army Research Laboratory develop and test remote weapon stations to ensure soldier lethality.
The company said it will assess the safety and performance of lightweight stations through the task order awarded under the Advanced Expeditionary Warfare Development contract vehicle.
STS President David Morgan said the award allows the company to continue its engagement with the Army Product Director for Crew Served Weapons, Army Contracting Command and ARL.
Precision Remotes and IEC Infrared Systems will serve as subcontractors on the project. The team will work to add new technology to the soldier lethality project manager’s weapons portfolio.
Work covers on-site and remote testing and operational and safety assessment services.
