Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) missiles and fire control business will serve as the prime contractor for the proposed sale, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Wednesday.
The request includes 150 units of the M30A1 GMLRS alternative warhead or the M30A2 GMLRS AW missile pod with an insensitive munitions propulsion system, or a combination of both weapons.
Finland also asked to procure 250 units of either or both the M31A1 GMLRS unitary warhead or M31A2 GMLRS-U IMPS and support services.
DSCA on Wednesday notified Congress of the possible transaction, which the agency said will allow the Finnish government to expand its national land and air defense supply.
