The State Department has cleared Australia™s request to buy anti-radiation missiles and related equipment and services under a potential $137.6 million foreign military sales agreement.
Australia asked to procure AGM-88B anti-radiation tactical missiles, AGM-88E guided tactical missiles, CATM-88B HARM captive air training missiles control sections, flight termination platforms and related missile guidance and control components for the country™s fleet of Boeing-built (NYSE: BA) EA-18G Growler aircraft, the Defense Security Cooperation Agencysaid Friday.
Logistics, U.S. government and contractor engineering, related support tools and technical services are also included in the potential deal.
Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) and Orbital ATK(NYSE: OA) will serve as contractors for the transaction that seeks to support Australia™s efforts to build up homeland defense and capability in support of coalition initiatives as well as deter regional threats.
