The State Department has cleared Finland’s request to procure 35 extended-range systems of Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) Guided Multiple Launch Rocket through a potential $91.2 million foreign military sales deal.
Lockheed’s missile and fire control segment will be the principal contractor under the FMS agreement for 25 M30A2 ER GMLRS alternative warhead pods and 10 M31A2 unitary pods, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Wednesday.
The proposed sale also covers materiel release package delivery, technical publication and quality assurance testing, logistics and program support services.
DSCA noted the Finnish government aims to expand the country’s military architecture as part of national security efforts and bolster interoperability with allies.
The proposed deal will not require U.S. government and contractor personnel deployment to Finland.
