The State Department has approved a potential $250 million sale of information technology services to Kuwait’s Military Medical Command.
Oracle‘s (NYSE: ORCL) Cerner subsidiary will act as the principal contractor on the proposed foreign military sale, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.
Kuwait requires assistance to plan, integrate, deploy and maintain health IT infrastructure for military use.
The possible transaction will include life cycle management practices, training, warranty and related technical and logistics support services.
DSCA said the deal calls for the deployment of an additional 15 contractor and government representatives to Kuwait for a seven-year period.
