StandardAero has won a potential eight-year, $237.4 million contract to repair, maintain and overhaul engines for the U.S. Air Force’s T-38 Talon trainer fleet.
The AF Life Cycle Management Center received one bid for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract via a competitive acquisition process and is obligating $10.1 million at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
“It is critical that we repair our military equipment and technology in order to increase readiness and mission capability,” Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, said in his announcement of the contract award.
Work will take place in San Antonio through May 2028.
“I am committed to funding projects that help meet our military’s needs for airpower today and in the future.”
