Sprint to Update DISA Optical Transport Network Under Potential $216M Contract

Sprint‘s (NYSE: S) federal government business has been awarded a potential $215.7 million contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency to provide optical transport network upgrade services for the Defense Information Systems Network.

The Defense Department said Tuesday that Sprint Federal Operations LLC will perform work in various locations across Europe through August 29, 2017.

DISA obligated $34, 190, 235 at the time of award from its procurement funds in fiscal 2016.

DISN is built to serve as a telecommunications network  that facilitates global information exchange between targeted end-user defense communities.
