Duane Hawkins will continue to oversee the defense and space division as president and has been named executive vice president of Spirit, the Wichita, Kansas-based company said Thursday.
Sam Marnick, who will continue to serve as EVP and chief operating officer at Spirit, will assume the role of president of the commercial division.
Kailash Krishnaswamy will lead Spirit’s aftermarket division as senior VP.
Justin Welner has been named SVP, chief administration officer and chief compliance officer with oversight of Spirit’s corporate affairs, human resources, information technology and risk management, among other areas.
Tom Gentile, president and CEO of Spirit AeroSystems, said the organizational changes will enable the company to drive growth and better serve customers across defense and space, aftermarket and commercial divisions.
Other executives who will serve on Spirit’s executive leadership team are:
Bill Brown, SVP of Boeing programs
Kevin Matthies, SVP and chief technology and quality officer
Mark Suchinski, SVP and chief financial officer
Mindy McPheeters, SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary
Scott McLarty, SVP of Airbus and business/regional jet programs
Terry George, SVP for 737 program and operations and advanced manufacturing strategy
Brown and McLarty will report to Marnick, while George will report to Brown. Matthies, Suchinski and McPheeters will report directly to Gentile.
Spirit said it will present its 2021 fiscal year-end results based on the three new divisions.
