Systems Planning and Analysis has won a potential $185 million contract to advise the Defense Threat Reduction Agency on scientific and technical matters.
The Alexandria, Virginia-based company will provide assistance to DTRA’s research and development work on defense measures against improvised threats and weapons of mass destruction, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract has a face value of $20.4 million and the agency is obligating $9.57 million at the time of the award.
DTRA received four offers for the procurement effort through a full and open best-value sourcing process.
The contract has a base performance period of 4.25 months, which the agency expects to conclude by Nov. 15, 2025, followed by four one-year option periods.
Work will primarily occur at Fort Belvoir in Virginia and other agency facilities.
