The Space and Missile Systems Center has asked industry to provide information on an enterprise classified information technology infrastructure to meet SMC’s collaboration, security and data access requirements for Next Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared and Evolved Strategic Satellite Communication programs.
A request for information posted Wednesday says NG OPIR and ESS program offices intend to modernize the way they integrate with government agencies, industry partners and support contractors through an enterprise IT platform.
SMC seeks to implement an IT infrastructure that can meet top secret and secret classification levels. The platform should be agile and scalable to support a potential rise in the number of users and locations and should have a suite of simulation and modeling tools and administrative and collaboration capabilities in support of ESS and NG OPIR missions.
Stakeholders should leverage classified cloud enterprise programs deployed by the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community, including Amazon Web Services Secret and Top Secret Regions, Azure Secret, milCloud 2.0 and Air Force Cloud One.
