Six Firms Added to Army’s $5B Southern Border Construction Contract

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has included six more companies as awardees on a potential $5B contract for horizontal construction services along the southern border.

Efforts under the multiple-award contract will support USACE™s Southwestern and South Pacific divisions as well as the Department of Homeland Security™s Border Patrol sectors encompassing the El Paso, Big Bend, Del Rio, Rio Grande Valley and Laredo areas, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

USACE added the new awardees to a group of 13 contractors unveiled in June.

The additional firms are:

• APC Construction
• Fisher Sand & Gravel Co., doing business as Fisher Industries
• LGC Global 
• Martin Brothers Construction
• Southern Border Constructors (Posillico Coastal joint venture)
• Walga Ross Group JV
