“Our intense focus on the mission will allow Sincerus to deliver enhanced capabilities and innovation that support U.S. global stability objectives through security sector reform and civilian security programs,” Tony Smeraglinolo, chairman and CEO of Sincerus and a three-time Wash100 Award winner, said in a statement published Monday.
Smeraglinolo is former president and CEO of Engility, which was acquired by SAIC in January 2019.
The former SAIC portfolio brings to Sincerus “rule of law” consulting, peacekeeping and law enforcement training and related implementation support services for the Department of Justice and State Department. Sincerus will absorb about 50 full-time employees and several hundred part-time personnel and contractors working on programs running in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Glen Schuhmacher, formerly vice president of SAIC’s international development services business unit, has joined the Sincerus leadership team as president and chief operating officer.
Pillsbury, Winthrop, Shaw, Pittman served as Sincerus’ legal adviser, while Atlantic Union Bank provided financing.
Arlington, VA.-based Sincerus is a privately held company focused on providing logistics, consulting, security sector development, training and expeditionary mission support services to clients.
