Sierra Lobo has secured a potential five-year, $400 million contract to support testing of rocket propulsion systems hardware and other aerospace components at NASA’s White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.
The Fremont, Ohio-based company will also perform hypervelocity impact testing and flight hardware processing work and provide other technical services to the self-contained facility under the Test Evaluation and Support Team 3 contract, NASA said Tuesday.
Work is scheduled to begin on Oct. 1 and will continue through Sept. 30, 2026.
WSTF operates a component of the agency’s Johnson Space Center and conducts an evaluation process involving potentially hazardous materials, systems and components for other NASA centers, agencies and commercial entities.
