The U.S. Navy awarded contract modifications worth a combined $113.2M to seven companies to continue supporting maintenance efforts for surface combatant and amphibious vessels that are visiting or stationed at Naval Base San Diego.
Contractors will help the service branch maintain, repair or modernize destroyers, cruisers, dock landing ships, amphibious transport docks, landing helicopter assault ships and landing helicopter docks, the Department of Defense said Monday.
DoD noted the modification exercises option period two of a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and extends performance of work through May 24, 2020.
