Serco Group‘s North American division has received a potential five-year, $43M contract to support design and engineering work on a small surface combatant vessel for the U.S. Navy.
Serco Inc. will help the Navy develop network and cybersecurity features, create test requirements and system integration parameters, and plan logistic support integration efforts under the Guided Missile Frigate FFG(X) Program, the company said Thursday.
The company will provide advice to the service branch on technical design matters and implement a virtual technology to aid 3D ship modeling work.
Dave Dacquino, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc. and a former Wash100 awardee, said the company has gained new platforms in the naval ship and submarine design, construction and engineering areas through the acquisition.
Dacquino added the offerings complement the firm’s portfolio of shipboard, shore and systems installation and modernization services.
