Serco Group‘s Americas division has secured a potential five-year, $95M contract to help the Department of Labor prepare military personnel for their transition to a civilian career.
Herndon, Va.-based Serco Inc. said Monday it will facilitate classroom training and workshops through the DOL-run Veterans™ Employment and Training Services Transition Assistance Program.
The company also intends to hire as many as 100 employees to support efforts under VETS TAP.
“Under this contract, we are fortunate enough to get to work first-hand with those who have done their part in defending our country and now deserve these resources as they transition to civilian life,” said Dave Dacquino, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc. and a former Wash100 awardee.
The contract has one base year and four option years. Work will take place at more than 300 military facilities within and outside the continental U.S.
Serco Inc. added it will create technology and curriculum for VETS TAP as well as help veterans find job and apprenticeship opportunities.
