Scott Swilley, a former senior program manager at ECS, has been named director of business development at Figure Eight Federal, a provider of training data for artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.
He will manage the company’s business development strategy as it aims to expand its AI and geospatial data labeling offerings for defense, civilian and intelligence agencies, Figure Eight Federal said.
“Scott has a deep understanding of data labeling, geospatial intelligence, and military operations. He was a trusted leader of many of our country’s successful intelligence missions and will continue this important work through Figure Eight Federal,” said Vinay Malkani, president of Figure Eight Federal.
At ECS, Swilley oversaw program delivery operations, transition and capture efforts for the Department of Defense’s AI program.
He joined the Fairfax, Virginia-based information technology company in 2022 after serving as a civil engineer in the U.S. Army for over two decades.
Swilley previously served as a division chief within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s mission management integration group and a service chiefs fellow at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
