Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has won a potential five-year, $196.5 million contract to help the U.S. Navy sustain integrated tactical networks ashore and afloat.
The contract contains a $116.2 million base value over a three-year period that runs through June 27, 2021, and a two-year option that could extend work through June 27, 2023, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command will oversee the project onboard Navy ships and at DoD installations and facilities worldwide.
SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific received three offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract through a solicitation process on the FedBizOpps website and the command’s e-commerce portal.
The service branch will obligate procurement and operations and maintenance funds upon issuance of orders.
