Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has received a potential two-year, $108 million task order to help the U.S. Army Human Resources Command continue to build, run and maintain at least 191 virtual applications used to support warfighters.
The service branch awarded the task order through the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services contract vehicle and SAIC will carry out work in Fort Knox, Kentucky, the company said Thursday.
Jim Scanlon, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC™s defense systems customer group, said the company will leverage its team of developers and provide application development services in support of the Army™s readiness efforts.
The task order has a one-year base term and one option year and covers IT support for the Army Cadet Command, Army Recruiting Command, Army Reserve and National Guard personnel, veterans and their families.
