Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has received a potential seven-year, $621 million task order to provide a range of information technology support services to the U.S. Central Command‘s J6 directorate.
SAIC said Wednesday work covers IT training, help desk, desktop and executive communications support, inventory and knowledge management, network operations and maintenance and defensive cyber operations support.
The company will also help CCJ6 maintain communications infrastructure systems and servers, engineer software and networks and provide audio/visual and wireless technology under the single-award task order.
“We remain committed to providing mission-critical IT services to the directorate’s end users and we look forward to continuing to work closely with USCENTCOM to support our warfighters,” said Mark Escobar, senior vice president and general manager of the SAIC’s national security customer group.
The General Services Administration‘s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center awarded the task order through the Alliant governmentwide acquisition contract vehicle.
SAIC will perform work at Macdill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, the CENTCOM forward headquarters in Doha, Qatar and other international locations.
