SAIC has announced that Chief Technology Officer Bob Ritchie has also taken on the chief growth officer role, adding the responsibility to lead the company’s business development organization to his leadership portfolio. According to SAIC, the expanded role unifies technology and growth strategies under one executive to strengthen its position as a mission integrator. Ritchie will report to Tim Turitto, executive vice president of enterprise operations and chief of staff to the CEO.
Bob Ritchie’s Career Highlights
Ritchie has been with SAIC for 20 years, beginning his career as a software engineering intern and advancing through a series of technical and leadership roles. He has served as CTO since 2022, after holding posts, including vice president of software and senior principal software engineer.
During his tenure as CTO, Ritchie built a technology organization that worked with SAIC’s business groups and Chief Innovation Office to advance enterprise growth. He played a key role in the company’s success in secure multi-cloud solutions, contributing to major contract awards under the U.S. Air Force’s Cloud One and Cloud-Based Command and Control programs, and the Department of the Treasury’s TCloud contract.
Prior to SAIC, he spent nearly three years at Capital One in engineering leadership positions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has earned all nine Amazon Web Services certifications, along with other technical credentials.
In his new capacity, Ritchie will enhance collaboration between innovation, technology and business development teams to expand delivery of solutions across mission-critical areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber, space, autonomy, and command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
“Bringing together technology vision and business development creates powerful opportunities for our customers and our teams,” said Ritchie. “This synergy will balance the standardization of mission IT, enterprise IT, and engineering solutions across the enterprise with the creativity, mission intimacy, and discipline required to deliver mission outcomes for our customers.”
