RSGS said Thursday Swanson brings to the board over 33 years of leadership experience in defense procurement and digital capabilities with a focus on software engineering, digital transformation, data management and artificial intelligence implementation.
Jennifer Swanson’s Career Background
Swanson most recently served as deputy assistant secretary of the Army for data, engineering and software within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology. In this capacity, she led digital transformation initiatives by enabling program teams to implement data-centric approaches, leverage AI and advance modern software development techniques.
Prior to this position, she served as director of the Army Communications-Electronics Command Software Engineering Center.
Her government service career included time as chief of the technical management division within the Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications-Tactical, or PEO C3T; chief engineer within PEO C3T; and division chief of the Communications and Electronics Research and Development Center.
The University of Florida graduate has a master’s degree in software engineering from Monmouth University.
Swanson is a recipient of the Presidential Meritorious Executive Rank Award and the David Packard Excellence in Acquisition Award.
