Rolls-Royce has secured a $1.01 billion contract to help the U.S. Navy maintain the engines that power T-45 Goshawk military training jets.
The company will perform maintenance and logistics support work on 210 F405-RR-401 Adour engines under the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Work will occur in Mississippi, Texas, Florida and Maryland through July 2027.
Naval Air System Command awarded the contract on a sole-source basis and will obligate funds upon issuance of individual orders.
The Adour counter-rotating turbofan engine technology is designed to produce up to 8,000 pounds of thrust in land-based and carrier aircraft operations.
