Roger Alan Nichols, formerly a client executive director at AT&T (NYSE: T), has joined Columbia, Maryland-based information technology company Freedom Consulting Group as chief growth officer.
He will report directly to FCG CEO Vernon Saunders and oversee corporate strategy and growth initiatives, FCG said Wednesday.
“The ability to execute our strategy for profitable growth is the key component of our business, and I am confident that Roger is the ideal person to lead our growing team and introduce our mission-enabling solutions across the intelligence community and beyond,” Saunders, a two-time Wash100 awardee, said of Nichols.
Prior to FCG, Nichols spent more than six years at broadband network provider AT&T where he managed the telecommunication firm’s business development and profit-and-loss functions.
His industry career also includes various positions at Jacobs (NYSE: J), TeleCommunication Systems, Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and Qwest Communications.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as ground radio equipment maintenance specialist.
