Robert Ashley, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general, has joined Deep Water Point as a principal in support of the Annapolis, Maryland-based federal management consulting firm’s defense and intelligence business.
Howard Seeger, managing partner of Deep Water Point, said in a statement published Wednesday Ashley will join a team of former senior military, government and industry leaders who understand the market and can deliver services and value to customers.
Ashley, a two-time Wash100 awardee, has nearly four decades of experience in intelligence, operational combat, cybersecurity, risk management, analytics and global security.
His military career included time as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, deputy chief of staff for intelligence, G2, commander and senior intelligence officer for Joint Special Operations Command, Central Command and International Security and Assistance Forces Afghanistan.
