Babel Street Names Rob Lalumondier as Chief Revenue Officer

Babel Street has appointed Rob Lalumondier as chief revenue officer, adding a senior leader with experience in cybersecurity and threat intelligence as the company expands across the public sector, national security and commercial markets.

In his new role, Lalumondier will oversee global revenue strategy, sales, channel operations and customer growth initiatives, the company said Thursday.

What Experience Does Lalumondier Bring to Babel Street?

Lalumondier previously served as a vice president at Sophos, leading the company’s North American enterprise and public sector business. Before that, he held senior roles at McAfee, including executive director for federal civilian and director of national security and intelligence, guiding the adoption of cybersecurity and threat intelligence tools across U.S. government missions.

His earlier industry experience includes leadership positions at Intel and STS International. Lalumondier, a former U.S. Army captain, earned his bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and his master’s degree in finance and strategy from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.

According to the new chief revenue officer, he aims to help broaden Babel Street’s reach and partnerships as organizations look for tools that provide more comprehensive visibility into evolving risks.

“Rob brings a rare combination of mission understanding, commercial discipline, and go-to-market leadership,” said Benji Hutchinson, CEO of Babel Street. “His experience building high-performance teams in both the public and private sectors will help accelerate our growth as customers increasingly turn to Babel Street to make sense of complex, multilingual fast-moving data.”
