Alka Bhave, vice president and chief of staff at Riverside Research since July, has been promoted to serve as the nonprofit’s chief operations officer.
Her new responsibilities will include driving service and capability transformation initiatives at the scientific research organization and helping spearhead its diversity, equity and inclusion programs, Riverside Research said Monday.
Bhave previously served as vice president of performance excellence at Peraton. She held the same role at Perspecta for three years before its acquisition by private equity firm Veritas Capital and subsequent integration into Peraton.
She worked with various government customers such as the Department of Defense and the intelligence community over the course of her 25-year career.
Riverside Research conducts innovation projects in artificial intelligence, optics, electromagnetics and other technology-focused topics in support of national security.
