Poland has made progress in its work to complete a potential $5 billion contract with Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) for the company’s air and missile defense system, Reuters reported Monday.

“Raytheon has agreed to our minimal condition aimed at securing that at least 50 percent of the money which is to be spent of the Patriot system would be spent on works done by Polish plants, “ said Antoni Macierewicz, Poland’s defense minister.
Poland selected Raytheon for the contract in April 2015 to build a mid-range missile defense system for the country’s military units.
