Palantir Technologies has won a potential contract worth over $800M from the U.S. Army to build and deploy a battlefield intelligence platform for warfighters, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
The Army selected Palantir and Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) in March 2018 to help address the service™s technology requirements for the Distributed Common Ground System-A under a potential 10-year, $876M contract.
DCGS-A is an integrated hardware and software platform designed to help commanders collect and disseminate intelligence data to warfighters in real time.
The service made the decision after allowing Palantir and Raytheon to test their software platforms with soldiers who provided feedback on how to improve both companies™ offerings to meet the military branch™s requirements, according to the Post.
