Anne Rung
Anne Rung, administrator of the Office of Management and Budgets Office of Federal Procurement Policy, will step down from her position by the end of September after two years on the job, Federal News Radio reported Friday.
Jason Miller writes Rung will serve as head ofAmazon Business (Nasdaq: AMZN) and will be responsible for the business strategic supplier initiative that focuses on the government.
Anne has consistently advanced innovative and effective policies that are making the federal supply chain more effective, efficient, climate-smart, and socially responsible, said OMB Director Shaun Donovan.
Donovan also cited Rungs accomplishments as OFPP chief such as the launch of the Digital IT Acquisition Professional Training program, formation of the Acquisition Innovation Advocates Council and efforts to reduce fragmentation and duplication in government procurement, Miller reports.
Prior to OFPP, she worked at the General Services Administration for two years and held leadership roles that focus on acquisition.
Rung also served as senior director of administration at the Commerce Department for two years.
She spent seven years at the Pennsylvania Department of General Services as deputy secretary for administration and procurement and six years as congressional director at the Democratic Leadership Council.
