Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has secured a potential four-year, $490.2 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide ship activation and engineering services for the service branch’s Zumwalt-class destroyer program.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday that Raytheon’s integrated defense systems business will activate, integrate, produce and test mission systems and equipment of Zumwalt-class ships.
The contract has a base value of $111.3 million and the obligated amount of $45.5 million at the time of award is from the Navy’s fiscal year 2012 through fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation, shipbuilding and conversion and operations and maintenance funds.
Work will occur in California, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Virginia through April 2021.
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems provides C4ISR, electronic warfare, missile defense, precision weapons, sensors and imaging support services to commercial and government clients.
