RTX (NYSE: RTX) subsidiary Raytheon has received a potential $1.19 billion contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to produce and supply advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles to domestic and foreign military sales customers.
The Department of Defense said Wednesday the award also covers the delivery of AMRAAM telemetry systems, initial and field spares and other production engineering support hardware.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center expects work to occur in Tucson, Arizona, through the end of December 2028.
The modification covers production lot 38 of AMRAAM missiles in support of USAF, the U.S. Navy and 12 FMS clients: Bulgaria, Bahrain, Canada, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Ukraine and the U.K.
In June 2023, RTX booked a $1.15 billion Air Force contract to support the fifth production lot of AMRAAM units for U.S. and international defense customers.
