Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) has selected Arlington, Virginia, as the location of its new global headquarters as part of efforts to strengthen partnerships to develop novel technologies and improve its agility in supporting customers in U.S. government and commercial aerospace markets.
The Waltham, Massachusetts-based defense contractor said Tuesday the new HQ office will be established in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, alongside the Raytheon Intelligence & Space business.
Raytheon said it already has operations in Virginia for each of its four business units and that it has not asked or received from any municipality or state any financial incentives to support its move to Virginia.
Defense News reported that Raytheon’s plan to establish its global HQ in Northern Virginia will occur in the third quarter of 2022.
