Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has secured a potential $112.3M contract modification for non-recurring engineering work on U.S. Navy flight vehicles used to guard aircraft and airmen from hostile threats.
The company will help engineer the service branch’s Miniature Air Launched Decoy platform throughout the engineering and manufacturing development, payload integration and production phases of the program, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Sixty-five percent of work will take place in Tucson, Ariz., and the remaining 35 percent will occur in Goleta, Calif.
The Navy will obligate $15.1M from fiscal year 2020 funds for the modification. DoD expects the company to complete services by September 2022.
