Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has received a $96.6M contract modification from the U.S. Special Operations Command to continue manufacturing terrain following and terrain avoidance radars.
The modification increases the total potential value of the Silent Knight Radar contract to $300M and covers low-rate initial production of the system, the Department of Defense said Friday.
USSOCOM will issue delivery and task orders under the the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract throughout a five-year period and will obligate $54.7M in fiscal 2019 procurement funds at the time of award.
The command intends to fund orders using operations and maintenance, procurement or research, development, test and evaluation funds.
Work will take place in Mississippi through October 2022.
